We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team and help support our innovative combination of neighborhood-based programs designed to make fresh and healthy food accessible for thousands of individuals and families across Dakota County. Through a network of more than 40 mobile food distribution sites and community garden sites, our neighborhood-based programs are setting a new standard for suburban hunger relief efforts.
The Planning and Partnerships Manager plays an integral role in building and maintaining community partnerships for neighborhood-based programs, managing volunteer support and coordination for neighborhood-based programs, and overseeing the seasonal Mobile Lunchbox Program.
A candidate with authentic relationships with existing Dakota County neighborhoods, specifically in the Latinx or East African communities would be ideal.
Specific responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain relationships with all Neighborhood Based Sites
- Conduct semi-annual visits with key contacts at each site to discuss partnership and collect feedback
- Work with Mobile Food Program Manager (MFPM) and Garden to Table Manager (G2T) to plan for future neighborhood-based sites
- Partner with current and potential mobile and G2T sites to ensure effective operations
- Attend meetings with mobile and G2T sites and community partners as requested
- Work with MFPM and G2T to evaluate and improve sites
Day-to-day management of Mobile Food Program Distributions
- Working with MFPM and Volunteer Services Specialist to ensure all scheduled Mobile and sites have adequate volunteer support
- Provide training and support to volunteers involved in distributions
- Ensure all volunteer hours are tracked in Volgistics
- Work with Client Services team to ensure proper data collection and tracking of client data at each site
Oversee Mobile Lunchbox Program
- Supervise seasonal FT staff position and AmeriCorps members
- Proactively engage with multiple school districts to prepare for summer meal deliveries
- Work closely with MFPM to expand program to new school districts in Dakota County
Support Day-to-Day Operations as Needed
- Support daily food rescue/sorting operations as requested
- Support Garden to Table operations as requested
- Support Eagan Pantry operations as requested

Qualifications:
- Commitment to ending local hunger
- Excellent people skills and an upbeat, enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Bilingual English / Spanish preferred
- Working knowledge of Federal School Meal programs would be a plus
- Intermediate MS Office skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- The ability to speak clearly and persuasively
- The ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced team
- A track record of professionalism, as well as follow-through on projects and prompt responsiveness to internal and external stakeholders
