Organization
The Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault was founded in 1982. Our mission is to provide
leadership and resources for sexual assault programs and allies to prevent sexual violence while
promoting a comprehensive, socially just response for all victims/survivors. MNCASA provides training
and technical assistance to member advocacy programs across the state; supports multidisciplinary
teams working to ensure a victim-centered response to incidents of sexual violence through the Sexual
Violence Justice Institute; leads the state in strategic work regarding primary prevention of sexual
violence and child sexual abuse; and works to ensure that public policy reflects the needs of
victims/survivors and the systems which are charged with providing safety, accountability, and
sustainable change.
Position Objective
This is a full-time position and an integral part of the communications and development team. This
position will work closely with the Communications and Development Director to ensure MNCASA’s
mission and messages are represented accurately at events, online, in print, and in the philanthropic
community.
Responsibilities
ï‚· Generate visual and graphic designs; and informational graphics, videos, and social media posts
to tell effective organizational stories on websites and in various online communication vehicles;
ï‚· Develop and disseminate, with the Communications and Development Director, all written
materials across various platforms for including newsletters, e-blasts, press releases, pitch
letters, annual reports, brochures, invitations, blogs, and public service announcements;
ï‚· Centralize, organize, and monitor press coverage and work with the Communications and
Development Director to expand coverage of events, impact, and success stories;
ï‚· Maintain and distribute a calendar of all communications efforts;
ï‚· Strategically manage our online presence through the website, social media, SEO work and
Google Ads for nonprofits with the Communications and Development Director;
ï‚· Curate content and update social media, and respond to inquiries received via social networks,
in collaboration with the Communications and Development Director;
ï‚· Coordinate resource and event printing, including soliciting bids, managing files and deadlines,
and delivery;
ï‚· Coordinate events, including venue logistics, registration management, and tracking presenter’s
needs;
ï‚· Work with the Communications and Development Director on scheduling, creating agendas, and
taking notes for various meetings internally and externally;
ï‚· Maintain contact database of partners, local providers, volunteers, clients, and local media
outlets;
ï‚· Assist with record keeping, research, and various data entry related to agency marketing and
communications;
ï‚· Various administrative task related to scholarships, education credits, and events.
Qualifications
ï‚· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and database software;
ï‚· Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator;
ï‚· Ability to work well with staff, member programs, and the general public;
ï‚· Support for and adherence to the MNCASA mission and philosophy statement;
ï‚· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, prioritize work, meet deadlines;
and ensure quality work;
ï‚· Ability to self-direct and take initiative;
ï‚· Ability to problem solve;
ï‚· Excellent writing;
ï‚· Experience with developing newsletters and other electronic communications;
ï‚· Experience managing databases;
ï‚· Experience with event planning;
ï‚· Demonstrated ability to broaden partnerships and engage others;
ï‚· Demonstrated commitment to eradicating sexual violence and its root causes including sexism,
racism, heterosexism, classism, and other systems of oppression;
ï‚· Previous completion of 40-hour sexual assault advocacy training or willingness to complete
training; and
ï‚· Commitment to carrying forward the mission of MNCASA.

Salary range:
ï‚· $47,500-50,500, based on skills and experience

ï‚· St. Paul, Minnesota.
Additional Information
All positions at MNCASA are funded through a variety of state and federal grant funds. Unanticipated
changes in funding may affect positions at MNCASA. All positions are classified as “at will.”
