Northeast Youth & Family Services (NYFS)is a mental health and social service agency serving people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds in the northeastern suburban and Twin Cities area.
Our mission is transforming lives today – creating a better tomorrow for youth, adults and families. NYFS is currently recruiting for an Insurance Billing and Credentialing Coordinator. This critical position assures current credentialing of our therapists, insurance billing and welcoming of clients.
This position is responsible for:
Billing and Credentialing:
- Keeping credentialing of therapists and other personnel agency-wide in compliance.
- Serve as main agency contact for billing questions, verification and research for Outpatient Mental Health and the NETS Program to ensure correct information is on file.
- Works with Clinic Manager and Claims Processor to obtain maximum reimbursement for the agency and identify those accounts that need updated insurance
- Provide excellent HIPAA compliant customer service to clients who seek treatment at NYFS greeting, making appointments, verifying insurance, and collecting copays.
- Reconcile deposits daily
- Liaison for answering billing and insurance questions from staff
Qualifications:
- Associates of Arts degree Administrative Healthcare Assistant or four years of experience in healthcare credentialing and billing in lieu of education.
- Experience with credentialing process and insurance verification for outpatient mental health services and CTSS.
- Experience with electronic medical records and HIPPA
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and welcoming customer service skills.
