General Summary or Purpose of Job:
The technology integrated specialist will work to support the development, implementation and coordination of instructional technology integration at Academia Cesar Chavez School. The primary purposes of this position are to support the teaching of elementary student technology skills, teaching Middle School technology elective classes, coaching teachers using instructional technology and supporting administration with the development and implementation of a long term technology schoolwide plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assist with student, family, and staff software and technology questions
- Manage and assist with the distribution and return of technology devices
- Assist with student and staff accounts in various platforms
- Assist with enrollment process for technology account and device distribution
- Assist with associated paperwork for technology, including insurance inventory maintenance
- Coach teachers regularly implementation of 1:1 using Google Classroom in grades PK-8
- Provide device hygiene care for onsite and offsite devices
- Provide technology professional development using SAMR model
- Provide instructional technology training to academic staff
- Communicate with staff, students, and families in a professional manner
- Understand confidentiality and data privacy laws and regulations related to the maintenance of student and staff private information
- Possess strong skills working with Windows, Chrome OS, and Google Suite
- Provide technology support and training to families
- Management software (JMC), and G-Suite for Education
- Perform other duties and assume such other responsibilities as may be directed by the Executive Director and Heads of School
Required Qualifications:
- Willing to work hard, strong work ethic, and committed to learning new tasks as assigned
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, self-motivated, and possess effective time-management skills
- Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with teachers, administrators, school staff, students, and families
- Currently hold a valid Minnesota Teaching License
- 5+ years of experience teaching
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with device management in a school setting
- Experience with JAMF device management systems
- Experience with G-Suite for Education
- Experience using training and coaching adults in an educational setting
- Classroom management experience in elementary and middle school grades
- Experience configuring and maintaining computer labs for education
- Experience configuring and maintaining network devices, including printers
- Experience in customer service
- Master’s Degree in Education or related field
- Bilingual in Spanish/English
