Job Title: School Nutrition Manager
Primary Job Responsibilities:
This position will plan, supervise and coordinate the service of consistent quality foods for students and staff. The School Nutrition Manager is responsible for planning all aspects of the school foodservice operation that directly affects quality, safety, and sanitation of a school food service facility.
This includes:
- Compliance with health, safety, and the regulations of the USDA Federal Nutrition Programs.
- Supervises and develops a positive kitchen team that builds relationships with students, staff and community members
- Ensure that school nutrition personnel have the knowledge, training and tools needed to operate School Nutrition Programs (SNP) successfully
- Assisting the Operations Department with the development and implementation of new processes and/or procedures
- Fostering a culture of teamwork, achievement, and mutual respect
- Participates in menu planning so that menus are designed to maximize student and staff participation
- Serves quality meals on time every day
- Determines and orders appropriate quantities of food and supplies
- Maintains required records, documents and budgets
Qualifications
Required:
- A high school diploma (or GED), and a minimum of three years of relevant school nutrition experience, or An Associate’s degree or equivalent educational experience, with any academic major or area of concentration, and one year of relevant school nutrition experience.
- Minnesota State Food Manager License and Serve Safe Certification (or ability to obtain certification paid by Guadalupe Alternative Programs)
- Software: Complete working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with data management CRM and/or POS
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skill both written and verbal
- Experience leading teams and team-building
Preferred:
- A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent educational experience, with any academic major or area of concentration, and either a School Nutrition Association (SNA) Level 3 Certification or at least one year of relevant school nutrition experience

Additional Information • This position has one direct report (Cashier/Data Specialist)
Compensation
• Salary range: $44,000 - $54,000
• Complete benefits package including personal days, sick days, health and dental insurance, long-term disability, and 403b program (matching after one year).
• Competitive Time Off Plan: Nine paid holidays, 10 personal days and 10 vacation days
