Guadalupe Alternative Programs (GAP) is a community-based education and social service agency serving at-risk individuals throughout the Twin Cities. Primary Job Responsibilities:
This critical position provides prevention, early intervention and mental health services for at-risk K-12 students in select metro area schools. Specifically, the selected candidate will:
- Provide diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic services for students and their families.
- Offer prevention and early intervention in the school setting, in collaboration with school staff.
- Create and maintain client files in compliance with legal and ethical mandates and guidelines, as outlined in the employee manual.
- Follow billing protocol as outlined in the employee manual.
- Attend professional development.
- Engage in supervision with assigned site supervisor on a monthly basis, and as needed.
- Participate in peer case consultation on a monthly basis, and as needed.
- Offer supervision and training to meet the clinical and administrative needs of graduate level interns, when placed at the school site.
- Participate as a member of the CSC and school site team.
- Facilitate meetings with school staff to support program development and the effective provision of clinical services within the school community.
- Facilitate an organizational climate that values employees from all backgrounds and provide an emerging environment in which to work.
- Act ethically and professionally in every interaction.
- Other duties as required to meet CSC, school, student, and/or family needs
Position Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience with children, youth, and families
- Software: Procentive (Electronic Health Records), Microsoft Word, Excel
- Interpersonal: Licensed as a mental health professional (LMFT, LPCC, or LICSW)
Preferred:
- Experience working cross-culturally and with urban communities
- Experience with school based mental health
